Finding new ways to surprise and delight loyal customers was at the heart of this app-only ‘Insider Sale’. Identified as an opportunity to say thanks to returning customers, this promotional campaign was the first time we had run a Loyalty Program as a promotion. The concept centered around the feeling of getting physical mail in your mailbox, and how special it feels to receive an invitation or find your Wayfair package on your doorstep. The look and feel featured in the app was that of a purple cardboard box texture, with packing tape obscuring the offer, while the email is your invitation. Being app only, this promotion had limited placement, therefor motion was an important factor in this offer standing out to the customer.
